In 2015, the #SGSteam was already part of the project team when the plant was built, and we are now also on site expanding the existing plant in Vásárosnamény, Hungary. Our tasks include the mechanical assembly of a drum dryer, the wet chip bunker, the energy system, screening area, as well as the machines for wood processing and the press expansion.

The Swiss Krono Kft. Hungary plant will be modernized and expanded within 10 months. The challenge here is the specified schedules and the implementation in the existing system.

Since April, our #SGS team has been preparing the outdoor area for the enclosure in the fall, which is expected to take 6-7 months of construction. The new system will be integrated during a six-week shutdown. At the same time, the forming station is being expanded and the continuous OSB press is being extended. The existing combustion chamber from 2015 will also be dismantled and reassembled during the same period.

The existing lintel combustion chamber will be dismantled and then reassembled by the #SGSteam.

We are very pleased to be involved in the expansion and modernization following the original order in 2015. And shows once again that they are satisfied with our performance and our cooperation. We are looking forward to implementing this project together again.

The wood based panels are practically produced using a CO₂-neutral technology. At the production site in Vásárosnamény, all production waste such as bark or chips from wood shredding are converted into thermal energy in a special biomass power plant and used for the production process.
