2003 - the year SGS Industrial Services was founded.
In 2003, following a well-founded period of preparation and conception, the time finally arrived when SGS Industrial Services GmbH was established through the merger of IC Industrieservices GmbH and the assembly department of Scheuch GmbH.
2005 to 2010 – Expansion und Development
Our first subsidiaries are opened abroad: Czech Republic, United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Russia, Germany
During this time, the number of employees in the SGS Group grew to a total of around 900. Our headquarters in Dorf an der Pram was extended and officially opened in 2008.
We attach particular importance to safety and quality.
2010 to 2015 we continued our development
The company underwent a change when the environmental technology company Scheuch GmbH (formerly 51% owner) withdrew from SGS Industrial Services and Werner Griesmaier became sole owner of SGS Industrial Services in 2012.
"Follow your customer"! In keeping with this motto, new locations were opened in Libya, Venezuela and Chile. Likewise, the branch office in the USA was established as a contact point for our customers on the American continent. SGS Industrial Services Deutschland GmbH was strategically reorganised and restructured.
We are expanding our certifications in the field of occupational safety and welding technology.
2015 to 2022 - The continuation of our success story
This period is focused on further development and expansion. The SGS Group is growing.
In 2016, SGS Montage s.r.o., based in Hradec Králové (Czech Republic), was restructured. Around 150 employees are now part of the SGS Group's professional team.
For the South American market, SGS Industrial Services Mexico will be another local point of contact.
2019 saw the launching of SGS Industrial Services Poland. Since then, approx. 80 employees have been successfully implementing assembly and industrial parts projects worldwide.
In 2019, the German company Bähr Anlagenbau GmbH joined the SGS Group as a well-established partner in the field of industrial electrical plant engineering.

Reliability and stability right down the line
Sustainable business relationships are based on trust, reliability and stability. Therefore, it is a matter of course for us to communicate openly and honestly when it comes to finances. We regularly have ourselves certified by the Creditreform institute in order to also promote transparency in this area. This institute audits the financial stability and strength of a company.
SGS Industrial Services received a very good credit rating from Creditreform.
